Soon, the team behind Game Dev Market will launch a new site focused on game-development freelance work.
I’ve been selling music packs on GDM for a couple of years (you can find them here), but the main goal has always been to score games that I find interesting. So for me, this is a thrilling new opportunity.
I’ve tried my luck on other freelance-oriented sites, but my impression is that they became a race-to-the-bottom regarding prices. On Game Dev Freelance, there’s a minimum price necessary for your different tiers, and for the price, I think they try to encourage high-quality work for high-quality projects. I understand that higher prices require higher budgets, and that it might not be accessible for all the indies. But for those cases, I think the music packs can be a great solution.
I’m initially offering three different types of custom music tracks. All with a one-minute and two-minute tiers. I decided to focus on Orchestral music, Heavy Metal-oriented music, and Rock action-oriented music.
Those genres are the ones that I enjoy working on the most, and fit perfectly the type of games that I like the most: RPGs, Adventure games, RTSs, Grand Strategy Games, 4X games, Simulation Games, Fantasy games, and Action-oriented games in general.
If by any chance you’re working on a game that fits any of those genres, and you think that it can be enhanced with my music, I encourage you to collaborate through the GDF site (once it’s open for business). Or you could reach me through the contact section on this site.
Thank you so much for reading!
